WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT?​

Medical emergency

  1. When you reach the Hospital in Admission or Cash, you must show:
    1.  Credential of the insurer of the owner and the affected.
    2. Official identification of the owner and the affected party.
  • The Hospital will request to fill out the Direct Payment Request Form.

  • Once the diagnosis is confirmed, contact your Claims Executive in Priority, in order to review the conditions of your policy and advise you on the procedure to be followed in accordance with your coverages.

It is recommended:

  • Be aware that the treating physician sends timely medical information to the Insurer, once the diagnosis is confirmed. This will expedite the procedures.

Remember:

  • As long as the health condition allows, the best way to use your policy will be to schedule your surgeries

  • That on average the duration of a medical discharge is 2 to 3 hours

Car Accident

  1. Stay calm.
  2. If there are injured, notify emergency services via 911
  3. Locate # 01-800 in the policy and with this in hand report by phone. When reporting, you should mention:
    1. Exact location of the accident
    2. Brand and type of the vehicle
    3. Color and plates
    4. Name of the driver
    5. Policy number
    6. Name of Insure
  4. When our adjuster arrives, be confident that you are in safe hands and please have at hand:
    1. The insurance policy
    2. Driving license

  • Read the General Conditions of your Insurance Policy carefully

  • Keep in mind the period of validity of the Insurance Policy for its timely renewal

Loss of total theft Auto

  1. Report to the authorities as soon as possible, to avoid being imputed a responsibility for an act committed by the thief.

  2. Report to 01-800 of the insurance company.

  3. Follow the instructions of the adjuster who will assist you to document the claim file for compensation.

Business Sinisters

ATTENTION OF CLAIMS FOR BUSINESS COVERAGE. Fire Building, Contents and Additional Coverages.

    1. When having knowledge of a sinister, safeguard your physical integrity and the one of the others.

    2. Report immediately to the person in charge or employee of greater rank

    3. Give notice to the Fire Department and competent authorities

    4. Avoid as far as possible that the loss spreads

    5. Do not move anything without authorization from the insurer (prioritizing your safety)

    6. At the end of the incident, prepare an internal report and take photographs

    7. Only damaged property may be disposed of and / or destroyed, with prior authorization from the insurer.

NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION :

  • Claim letter valued and addressed to the insurer, detailing the facts.

  • In case of fire, complaint raised before the agency of the public prosecutor against who is responsible.

  • Original and / or certified copy of the expert’s report, prepared by expert services of the Attorney General’s Office.

  • Part issued by the Fire Department.

  • Last recent commercial appraisal of the building.

  • Building repair budget.

  • Appraisals and / or purchase invoices for furniture, inventories, merchandise, equipment, etc.

  • List of damaged goods and amount of content losses.

  • Technical reports of specialists for contents in which they indicate the extent of the damages.

  • Price for repair and / or replacement of contents.

  • Last inventory before the accident.

  • Inventory after the accident.
